Towards a Language for Quering OMG MOF-based Repository Systems

Stefan Jablonski, Ilia Petrov

This paper introduces a SQL-aligned declarative query language called mSQL (meta-SQL) for querying OMG-MOF based repository systems. Querying repository systems may be related to querying multi-database systems having a powerful data dictionary. Systems of this kind find extensive application in data- intensive Web applications, information, application and heterogeneous data source integration. Some of the key features of mSQL are: support for higher order queries and schema independent querying, unified handling of repository data and metadata, quantification over repository model elements.
